They are the lymphocytes that require maturation in the thymus,they form several subclasses with specificity of functions,they are the source of cell mediated immunity.
they are of following types.
cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
Suppressor T cells
Helper T cells
T cells for delayed hypersensitivity reactions (TD4)
